Class Description:With the surge in online startups, entrepreneurs and their teams need a User Experience Strategy to differentiate their product from the competition. Through business cases and current work samples, students will learn to how to conduct a UX Gap Analysis (on the online marketplace), perform Guerrilla User Researcher (for your MVP), and scope a startup’s roadmap using a Feature Value Matrix and extensible Site Maps. This class will expose how online success can be achieved by focusing on both disruptive design and customer acquisition techniques. Spreadsheet templates will also be shared so students can implement these tools immediately.
Level: This is an intermediate level course created for students with familiarity with the practice of User Experience Design or Business/Product Strategy. If you know nothing about either, you might feel lost.
Required Materials: Laptop or iPad suggested but not needed. Google account required to access takeaway spreadsheets
